Wedding Ceremony and Speeches Films in Toronto

Every vow and every toast, kept in full.

Your ceremony and your speeches hold the words of the day: the vows you make and the toasts from the people who know you best. We film both in full, with real audio, so nothing is lost to memory.

Our coverage is discreet and documentary style, filmed from more than one angle without interrupting the day. It sits alongside your highlight film: the highlight is the short story of the day, and these are the complete record of the moments that carried it.

Every wedding we take on is filmed by one of us, Dario or Kyrill, the two people who started Silver Leaf. When your package includes a second videographer, they come from a small group we have worked beside and trust.

What it is

What are ceremony and speeches films?

These are the films of the words. The ceremony film is your whole ceremony, edited cleanly from more than one angle with the audio recorded properly. The speeches film is every scheduled toast, kept whole. A highlight film captures the feeling of the day. Years from now, these are the films that bring back the voices and the exact things that were said, not just how the day looked.

The vows, as you said them

Not a line or two woven into a short film. The whole exchange, the readings, and the pause before the ring.

Every toast, kept whole

The best man's detour, the father's voice catching, the table that laughed first. Nothing trimmed for time.

Sound you can actually hear

Professional microphones with backups, then mixed in the edit, so the words come through clearly years later.

Common questions

Things couples ask us

Do you film the full ceremony and all of the speeches?

Yes. We capture the full ceremony from more than one angle with professionally recorded audio, and we film all scheduled speeches and toasts in full, so every word is preserved.

Are the ceremony and speeches included in the highlight film?

Select moments may be woven into your highlight film, but the full versions come as separate edits. That way you get both the short story of the day and the complete record of these moments.

How many cameras do you use during the ceremony?

Usually two to three, so we cover both partners, the key angles, and guest reactions while staying discreet and out of the way.

How do you record audio for vows and speeches?

With professional microphones and backup sources, so vows, readings, and speeches come through clearly. We mix the audio in the edit for clarity and consistency.

Can we choose who is included in the speeches film?

Yes. We include all scheduled speeches by default, but if there are any you want left out, or extra moments you want in, just let us know before the wedding.

How long are the ceremony and speeches films?

It depends on your ceremony and the number of speeches. Ceremony films usually run twenty to sixty minutes, and speeches films can run anywhere from ten to forty minutes or more.

Can we add these films after the wedding?

In most cases yes, as long as we captured full coverage on the day. The edit can be added during post-production.

Who will actually film our wedding?

One of us. Dario or Kyrill is on every wedding we take on. If your package includes a second videographer, they come from a small group of people we have worked with and vetted ourselves.

Do you travel for weddings outside Toronto?

Yes. We are based in Toronto and film across the GTA, Muskoka, Niagara, and Southern Ontario, with destination weddings by request. Outside the GTA, travel is $1 per kilometre, per videographer.
