Wedding Highlight Films in Toronto

A short film of your wedding day, told the way it actually felt.

Your wedding day is not a photoshoot. It is a day full of small, real moments: the nervous hand squeeze before the aisle, the laugh that catches everyone off guard, the speech that goes quiet at the end. It moves fast, and most of it happens when no one is looking.

We film documentary-style highlight films that hold on to how the day actually felt. We do not direct your wedding or pose you through it. We stay quiet, follow the day as it unfolds, and let the real moments lead.

Every wedding we take on is filmed by one of us, Dario or Kyrill, the two people who started Silver Leaf. When your package includes a second videographer, they come from a small group we have worked beside and trust.

What it is

What is a documentary highlight film?

A highlight film is a short wedding film, usually up to five minutes, that tells the story of your day through real emotion rather than staged perfection. You will see the big moments, the ceremony, portraits, speeches, first dance, and the party, along with the in-between moments you did not know were happening.

Candid coverage

Real interactions, not forced posing. We keep our distance and let the day happen.

Audio-led storytelling

Your vows and speeches, recorded cleanly and woven through the film so your own words carry it.

Common questions

Things couples ask us

Do we have to pose for the video?

Not at all. The whole approach is built on capturing real moments as they happen. Other than a short creative session, usually alongside your photographer, we film documentary style so you can be with your guests instead of watching the cameras.

Who will actually film our wedding?

One of us. Dario or Kyrill is on every wedding we take on. If your package includes a second videographer, they come from a small group of people we have worked with and vetted ourselves.

How do you choose the music?

We choose music that matches the tone and pace of your day. If you have preferences, romantic, upbeat, instrumental, indie, or anything else, we use them as a guide. We stay away from tracks that feel trendy now and would date the film later.

Do you record audio from the ceremony and speeches?

Yes, and it matters to us. Audio is what turns a music video into a real story. We use discreet, professional microphones to capture your vows and speeches clearly, then weave that audio through the film so your own words carry it.

How long until we get our film?

We put real care into the edit rather than rushing it. Your highlight film is delivered within 3 months of your wedding date, with two rounds of revisions in the 30 days after delivery.

Do you offer raw footage?

Yes. Raw footage is included in every package, delivered as a single compiled file. Your highlight film is the polished edit, and the raw footage is the full, unedited day to keep.

Will you travel for our wedding?

Yes. We are based in Toronto and film across the GTA, Muskoka, Niagara, and Southern Ontario, with destination weddings by request. Outside the GTA, travel is $1 per kilometre, per videographer.

How do we book?

To hold your date we ask for a signed contract and a 50 percent reservation fee, with the balance due two weeks before the wedding. Peak dates go early, so the sooner you reach out after booking your venue, the better. We are currently booking 2026 and 2027.
