Silver Leaf Weddings is a documentary wedding videography studio in Toronto, started in October 2024 by Dario Nouri and Kyrill Lazarov. One of us films every wedding we book, and we work across Toronto, the GTA, and Southern Ontario, with destination dates available.
This post began as our launch announcement. Two years and a lot of wedding days later, here is the updated version: who we are, how we film, and what working with us looks like.

Who we are
Before Silver Leaf, the two of us spent more than ten years filming in Toronto. Along the way we found that the work we cared about most was the kind where nothing is scripted: people, as they are, on a day that matters to them. So we built a studio around weddings and nothing else.
Dario is the lead videographer and the person most couples hear from first. Kyrill co-directs the studio and films alongside him. Between the two of us, one is always behind the camera on your wedding day.
Why "Silver Leaf"?
Silver stands for love that lasts, the kind people still celebrate decades later. A leaf stands for growth and new beginnings, which is what a wedding is. Put together, it is a fair description of what we try to film: the start of something meant to last.
How we film a wedding
We work in a documentary style. That means we do not stage moments, set up fake first looks for the camera, or ask you to walk down the aisle twice. We stay close, keep our presence light, and let the day play out.
- Sound comes first. Your vows and speeches are recorded cleanly, so you hear the actual words in the actual voices.
- True-to-life colour. Natural light and honest colour, without heavy filters that date a film in five years.
- The day as it felt. The edit follows what really happened, in the order it happened.

One of us is there, every time
Every wedding we book is filmed by Dario or Kyrill. When a day needs a second videographer, they come from a small team we have both worked with and personally vetted. You are never handed off to someone you have not heard of.
It is one of the questions we think every couple should ask before booking anyone, along with the others in our list of questions to ask your wedding videographer.
Where we have filmed
Since 2024 we have filmed weddings all over the GTA, from Casa Loma and Hotel X downtown to Graydon Hall Manor, Parkview Manor, The Arlington Estate in Kleinburg, Waterstone Estate in Newmarket, and TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon. A few to start with:

Packages and booking
We keep pricing simple: three packages, every one of them customizable. All prices are in CAD, plus HST.
- Essentials, $2,500. 8 hours, one videographer, a highlight film, drone coverage, and your raw footage.
- Classic, $4,250. 10 hours, two videographers, plus an edited ceremony and a free engagement film.
- Complete, $6,750. 12 hours, two videographers, plus a feature film and edited speeches.

What does documentary wedding videography mean?
It means we film the day as it happens instead of directing it. We do not stage moments or ask you to repeat things for the camera, and the film is built from what really happened, with the real sound of your vows and speeches.
Where does Silver Leaf Weddings film?
We are based in Toronto and film across Toronto, the GTA, and Southern Ontario. Destination weddings are available on request. There is no travel charge within the GTA; outside it, travel is $1 per kilometre, per videographer.
How much does Silver Leaf Weddings cost?
We offer three packages: Essentials at $2,500, Classic at $4,250, and Complete at $6,750, all in CAD plus HST. Every package can be customized.
Are you booking 2027 weddings?
Yes. We are currently booking weddings for 2026 and 2027.
